My name is Alex Kirshner. I’m a freelancer based in Washington, D.C, specializing in writing, editing, hosting, and consulting. For the first half-decade or so of my career, I worked at Vox Media, where I was a writer and then associate editor for SB Nation. In my freelance career, I’ve written for outlets like Slate, The Ringer, FiveThirtyEight, VICE, Men’s Journal, Baseball Prospectus, and the Jewish Telegraphic Agency. I’ve covered sports, the stock market and business, agriculture prices, ramen restaurants, politics, tech, religion, and what feels like every subject in between. I co-host Split Zone Duo, a podcast that covers college football and the many forces that shape its culture and has more than 3,000 subscribers on Patreon.
